Soap-making has been around for a while now, considered as a proper and artistic craft that only experts can master. Lucky for you, you don’t have to be an expert to follow the recipes that Nexon Botanics has carefully crafted. These recipes are an excellent beginner’s guide to soap-making.
The main ingredients for these soaps are essential oils, each one tailored to your skincare concerns. Let’s get to it!
3 Homemade Soap Bar Recipes with Essential Oils
For these recipes, you are going to need a standard set of ingredients. These include:
- 2 ounces of lye
- 5 ounces of coconut oil
- 3 ounces of almond oil
- 8 ounces of water
When heating and blending these ingredients together, make sure not to use cutlery that is designated for culinary use.
To start off with, melt the coconut oil in a pot. Do this at a low heat. Then, using protective gear, slowly heat the water and lye. When this mixture becomes clear, set it aside and emulsify your oils separately. Then, when both mixtures reach the same temperature, combine them together. This is when you can start adding your essential oils to the mix.
Once they are added, you can add your mixture to a mold and let it set. This recipe will easily produce 5 bars of soap, enough to last you an entire month.
